I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services (San Jose, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
This was a technical interview (even though they didn't tell me it was going to be technical). The interviewer first asked me to tell them about myself and asked about some of my projects on my resume. Later they proceeded to ask technical questions, which were mainly object oriented programming related questions. The interviewer then wrote some code on a piece of paper (very messily) and held it up on camera to ask me what the output of the code would be. Finally, they opened up for questions but only let me ask one question and said the interview is over.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tata Consultancy Services in Oct 2020
Interview
The selection process was quite variant and mostly depend on the interviewer you face. Sometimes the response could be very harsh or reassuring and again that depends on the interviewer solely.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Java features were asked in detail and various OOPS concepts were asked basically and then project functionalities were discussed.
Pretty smooth and relaxed. After applying, recruiters constantly contacted until an interview was set up. Managerial interview mostly asked questions about relocation and a few other basic things. Technical interview asked about objected oriented programming principals.
