I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tesco (Manchester, Inglaterra) in Aug 2016
Interview
I attended a 1 on 1 interview and was asked 5 questions. The lady who interviewed me was very nice and made me feel at ease. In addition to the questions she asked me to fill in a health form and a time available form. She also photocopied my Passport and my proof of NI number. I had no previous experience in Retail but this wasn't a problem at all. They are just looking for friendly people who have a smile and are willing to work hard.

Interview
I applied online and a week later I was invited for an interview (19/7/16).
A manager came and greeted me, then we went to fill out some paper work (health and safety, availability and checked my passport). After that, I was taken to the shop floor whereby I had to assist an employee with self checkout duties. Then he took me to the interview room and interviewed me. It was very relaxed and consisted of competency based questions of my prior experience. Then I was told that they would call me within 2 weeks if I was successful.
A week later, still had no response, I checked my application status online, one said "unsuccessful" and the other one said "In Review" (I applied to same place but different positions)... Exactly 2 weeks later (2/8/16) I got a call saying I was successful and I have induction on 8/8/16 :)

Interview
Applied online in the middle of July and passed the questions and right to work check. Received a phone call on the 29th of July to go in for an interview on the 1st of August. When I got there I was stood around waiting for a while because the manager's computer system was down and was printing off all of the info of people she was interviewing. However, I decided to have a look around and this impressed the manager when she came out to see me. I was told about the computers being down and so everything would have to be wrote on paper where it was brief notes of things I had said so she could remember who I was. It was explained to me there were 2 jobs available and asked which one I would prefer. (I got the job I had time preferences for). As the interview went on there were 5 set interview questions in total with others blended in such as 'Describe your role in your previous job' and then linked in 'why did you leave that job?', that sort of thing. After 3 set questions, the lady decided to get up and show me around the shop and meet some members of staff, which was a good sign as she didnt write down anymore information from the last 2 questions and thankfully, I received the job on the 3rd of August. Tesco Express are usually good about giving a candidate a phone call whether they are accepted or rejected and the manager told me I would be called after the last interview on Wednesday afternoon about 3. I was rang at half 7, so don't be disheartened if you don't get a phone call straight away! I was informed I would have an induction on the 8th at a larger store as Express stores do not do inductions. I do not have any information as of this yet but I do seem to gather it is around 7 hours of videos, filling out forms and helping stack shelves.
