      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Haydock, England) in Oct 2016

      Interview

Interview process was very good. I was welcomed at the customer service desk and was directed to the Manager of the store who was extremely friendly, nice and talkative. I was then taken to the staff room and given a document and pen. The document contain how many hours you can work? Minimum and maximum hour you can work? Etc. You had 3 choices and was asked which departments would you like to work in? and you was then asked What other potential Tesco stores would you like to work at or relocate too? After completing it for around 7-10Minutes I then had my Interview with the store manager in a room. We then discussed my working flexibility and then she started to tick boxes on a sperate booklet and she then started to ask me questions related to my experience. After the questions were over she then asked for my Passport I gave my National Insurance number and my Birth Certificate. After, that She then asked would I go out on the shop floor working with another member of staff. I was then told to clear shelves and remove boxes that were empty and dispose the boxes and then re-organise products on shelves. Any products that weren't supposed to be there I then had to relocate to appropriate shelve for me there was butter on the shelve when it wasn't there so I ask my colleague were should I put this he then showed me where to put it. I then asked the colleague a couple of questions and just being talkative and friendly but getting on with the task in hand. After that, I was then taken back to the interview room with the store manager and we discussed the rate of pay and what benefits I could receive and if I was successful that I needed to participate in an induction day and that I will receive a phone call in few days if successful. I was then shown out of the offices and the store.
