I answered some standard competency-based questions and gave my availability, then shadowed a staff member doing replenishment and tills for 10 minutes each and helped them out. Interview
Sat down with a group of applicants to watch a video of the how Tesco works. This is after passing the initial multiple-choice application form. The video was over an hour and after the video you are shown around the store.
Online application, interview, training. Whole process took around two weeks from application to beginning role. Short interview. got an offer. Three members of the management team conducted the interview. There were many opportunities for asking questions and lots of good feedback.
