I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tesco (Launceston, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied online. Once you pass the test you will be asked to attend for a group interview with someone from HR and the department manager where you will work.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Tesco (Stroud, Inglaterra) in Apr 2017
Interview
After applying online through indeed, I received a text saying I had been invited for an interview about a week later. So I then had to go online and arrange a time for the interview.
The first interview was a group interview, there were about 12 of us and there was around 12 jobs available which were displayed with the hours on the wall. We each put our names down on as many jobs that we were interested in (I think I put my name down for 3 or 4 of the jobs). The group interview was very laid back and relaxed which I enjoyed! First we all introduced ourselves and then we were told a bit about Tesco. We were then split into 2 teams. The team which I was in went onto the shop floor and did what Tesco call a 'rumble', basically tidying up shelves, putting items back in the right places and disposing of any empty packaging. The other team had to build a 6ft tower out of paper which had to stand for 10 seconds by itself. We then switched over. Overall I really enjoy the group interview, it was easily the best interview I've had!
The next day, I then got invited to a second interview, which was one-to-one with the manager of the department interested in employing me. This interview wasn't for the job that I initially applied for (which was a petrol filling station roll) but I was still happy to have the opportunity of a second interview. This interview was also relaxed and easy. I was asked about myself and some general questions about times I've had to adapt to change, had to work as part of a team and have had to work to meet deadlines. I mostly used examples during my time at college.
A week after my second interview I received a phone call to say I had got the job and was invited to a paid induction day!
