I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The UPS Store in Aug 2012
Interview
Depends on the owner. Mine was pretty small and quick. It involved sending her my resume and meeting for coffee to discuss why I wanted to work for her. It was honestly pretty short and straight forward.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The UPS Store (Murrells Inlet, SC) in Apr 2013
Interview
When I went for a job there, I was interviewed with the owner. He was really nice. I was given priority over other applicants because I had previous experience working for a shipping entity (The United States Postal Service). I was asked general questions about packing, shipping, and printing. Although I was very familiar with shipping and printing, I didnt know much about packing. The other employees showed me everything and I learned really quickly.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The UPS Store (Irvine, CA) in Jul 2012
Interview
It's usually conducted inside the store. They ask you several questions about what you want to do in the next few years, where you see yourself going, etc. Overall it was a pretty easy interview, just stay focused and use professional language.
