I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Colorado Springs, CO) in Apr 2017
Interview
I was interview by the YMCA branch team and the Regional Business Managers in the Pikes Peak area. The interview process had seemingly gone well as later that day I received an email from the HR rep asking if I could meet with the Regional Executive VP. I anticipated this meeting would include an official offer for the position. The day of the scheduled meeting I received an email from HR stating that the meeting was cancelled and that they would be re-posting the position, and if I was still interested then they could re-assign my application. I was puzzled and when I asked for clarification I was referred to the Executive Director of the branch. Upon speaking with her she assured me that there wasn't an issue with my application and that I was still being considered for the position. I asked her to keep me informed and to let me know if there were any questions or concerns regarding my qualifications, references, or anything else pertaining to my application. I never heard from them again and was shocked by the lack of professionalism and follow up. This experience has not only discouraged me from ever working with this organization, but now I would never even be a member.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Since there were two panels, everybody brought their own questions, none of which were particularly difficult. Almost as if many of them googled "Questions to ask at an interview".
