I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (London, ON) in Jun 2015
Interview
It was a group interview with myself, 3 other girls and 2 interviewers. They had us bring in a creative name tag (I used google to search "creative printable name tags" and printed off one that looked like an 'all access pass' ID badge and tied it around my neck with a shoestring.
First they had us fill out basic paperwork and present ourselves/our name tag. Then they had us do group activities; The first was to pick 5 out of 12 professions we would bring with us if we started a colony on another planet. (Doctor, farmer, judge, teacher, etc.) The second task was a back to back drawing game where we had to explain to the other person how to draw an animal without naming it.
Lastly, they had a 'tough questions' period where they asked all of us the same questions and we took turns answering.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
If a co-worker brought a peanut butter sandwich to the child care facility 2 days in a row even though you have a strict NO NUTS policy, what would you do?
If a difficult child who often leaves the room and wanders down the hall every day has a particularly bad day and screams, swears, and flips a table... what would you do?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Indianapolis, IN) in Oct 2018
Interview
Group interview with two other people who applied for the same position. They asked us some questions and then took us to play with the 6wks - 2 year old kids, then we went back to the room we started in and they asked a few more questions. Overall the interview only took about 30mins.

Interview
Very short. Was not very professional. Supervisor seemed unorganized. Was asked the basic interview questions. Info about me and my experience in childcare. I pretty much knew I was hired because the supervisor was so desperate for employees but it took a long time to get all the new hire paperwork done .
