I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UBS (Stamford, CT) in Dec 2010
Interview
Basic questions about overall market trends, 10 year bond yield, S&P, etc. The interviewer did not ask me any of the basic questions like why do you want to work here or tell me about yourself. It was very different from other interviews I had with other banks because my interviewer seemed more rushed and less interested than other people I spoke to at UBS and at other banks. Speaking with him wasn't fun for me... I usually really enjoy interviews.

Question 1
If you had $10,000 to invest anywhere, where would you put it?
The interview process was smooth and efficient. It included an initial HR screening to review my qualifications, a technical assessment to test my skills, and a final interview with the hiring manager to discuss.
After submitting my online application, I waited approximately two weeks before being invited to the first-stage task assignment (R1). This was followed by a video interview (R2), an in-person office interview (R3), and finally an HR interview (R4). The entire recruitment process took around five weeks to complete from application to final stage.

Question 1
Do you have a specific skillset that makes you stand out amongst other candidates?
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at UBS (Houston, TX) in Feb 2026
Interview
Very laid back interview. Just walked through my resume, why asset management, and overall just behaviorals. There were zero technical questions, and the interviewer was more curious about my leadership, experiences specifically from my previous internship.
