I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Carson, CA) in Jun 2009
Interview
there is no interview process, you are weighed to see if you fit the expectations of the air force, you can't have too many tattoos, and no criminal record. you have to pass the asvab to qualify for certain jobs. then you can either wait for an opening in that career field to join the military, or you can join in an open general field and get put into a career field that is available. They do try to match your first picks with you, I got my first choice job and I went in open general.

Question 1
there is no difficult or unexpected question, but it seems to be difficult for a large amount of people to pass the asvab testing. Its not that hard, but sometimes if you don't do well, but you pass, you might want to retake it for job opportunities.

It is very cut and dry. Be honest with all questions and you will be fine. Lying gets you nowhere.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at US Air Force
Interview
Lengthy process--takes several months to a year. You meet with an Air Force nurse recruiter and he/she will have you fill out a ton of paperwork. When you finally get to the interview, it will be with the Chief Nurse of a med group at a local base. Once the decision is made, you get signed up for Officer Training School and go from there. Do not expect to be paid during training. You may get back pay once you get to your permanent base.
