I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Army (Jacksonville, FL)
Interview
You take the ASVAB, which gauges your cognitive skills and suggests jobs based on test scores. You can take it again if you score low and desire a certain job (I believe that there is a waiting period). The basic 'interview process' is do you want such-and-such job. You work towards that, you get it. Never go in under the lie of 'just do this job you don't want and then change later'. That's nearly impossible to do.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Army (Houston, TX) in Aug 2016
Interview
Meeting with the recruiter was very easy going. Before applying, the recruiter explained the benefits and what to expect from the military lifestyle. He explained and walked me through the whole process of applying and getting accepted.
too easy. nothing to it. went to the recruiter and i was hired after signing my life away for 6 years. good times. I really love layouts. Those are the best. The people? everyone with a pulse can join so its pretty bottom of the barrel. All the good people get out.
