I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in May 2021
Interview
It went alright. My process was:
- Phone screen with HR to discuss data science at Uber
- Two technical phone screens
- Virtual on-site with six interviews, ranging from behavioral to technical
People were mostly pleasant to talk to. First recruiter was helpful and helped me prepare, second recruiter felt much more hands off and cold.
I think it would have been a better use of time if the two technical phone screens could have been condensed into one, considering how it was obvious there was no coordination between the two interviewers (there was at least one repeat question between the two technical phone screens).
Received rejection over the phone. I was given feedback, though it felt pretty vague/generic.
