I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Uber (Nashua, NH) in Oct 2015
Interview
Paperwork through the app is filled out and reviewed. Once it is processed, you can easily start without an interview. They encourage you to attend a meeting they setup to guide you through any questions you might have in person. I have gone twice and the person who set it up in my area was extremely disorganized and wasted my time. Unless you have an issue with the app or issue getting things processed, there is no real reason to go to it.
