Long process. Have a good friend who is a partner at a large Venture Capital firm who said he's never heard of an interview process like this.
1. Recruiter reached out to me for a brief 15 minute call first to quickly go over the position and a brief run-through of my CV. No problems here.
2. Recruiter sent me a timed 2-hour Excel exam. Pivot tables, financing scenarios, and writing skills are tested. Took me the full 2 hours, but I was very careful and tried not to rush. A lot of Uber specific metrics and ratios, so do your research.
3. Found out from the Recruiter that I passed. 30 minute Skype interview with Senior Ops Manager from local office. This was less of an interview and more of an exercise to ask me questions to get me out of my comfort zone (love for Uber, trick questions, strategies for growth or experience improvement). It almost seemed the questions were scripted. Very little opportunity to establish any sort of rapport.
4. Recruiter said they wanted me on site for interviews.. This was where it got crazy. I was there for a total of 6 hours. The day consisted of 3 standalone interviews and 3 other interviews after certain exercises i was required to perform.
5. Awaiting next step. I feel like if you can survive this interview, you can survive any of them.
