6 week process
Recruiter reached out via email to assess my interest in the position. Once I confirmed, an initial phone call with the recruiter was scheduled for the following week. This call was very high-level: description of the role/team/department, understanding my background and experience, brief explanation of compensation range, etc. From there a call with the hiring manager was scheduled for the following week. This was a fairly conversational/informal discussion: more specifics about the role and team, asked more "interview" questions about my experience (e.g., tell me a time when). At the end of the call, the hiring manager confirmed next steps of sending a case study for me to work on. Was given 1 week to complete the case study exercise, then the hiring manager/team reviewed it. Invited to an on-site panel interview at Uber's HQ in San Francisco. This consisted of a presentation of my case study, and five 30 min individual interviews with the management team. Entire process lasted approximately 3.5 hours. Received an offer the following week.
