I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VIPRE Security (Clearwater, FL) in Nov 2015
Interview
Was sent an email to come on site for an interview. Pretty basic questions. Nothing technical that really related to a job. They were trying to find someone willing to do the job and become a zombie and take calls all day long. Says there is room for advancement but do not offer the training.
I did not get an interview. After asking them why my application was denied their response was that I was not technical enough. The job description for this position was not very technical if at all. Yes it required minor computer knowledge. Knowledge like just know Windows OS. That's as technical as the description got. From there it says customer service, reading and writing. There is nothing very technical about this position. If it is you guys should specify EXACTLY what skills you want. Your job description ask for a tech savvy person. No degree or anything. I find it hard to believe the reasoning was because I was not technical enough. You work with a antivirus software so at most you are starting up in safe mode or issuing new product keys. I tried out the software and my tech advice for the average consumer is to use Avast. After comparing Vipre with Avast, Vipre takes up way too much memory. And the UI is glitches here and there. Oh well.
