I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walgreens in Dec 2010
Interview
Initial communication was quick. I received a call within two weeks of submitting my application. I applied around the holiday's, so my interviews were two weeks apart. The interview was well scripted. I had two interviews (one with store managers and one with district manager). I would recommend to future candidates that you have in mind some great customer service stories to tell when you go in for your interview.

Promotion from HPS. First interview was with a community leader store manager. After that there was interview with the district manager. Can take time between interviews before you hear anything. Don't be discouraged by that. Dress to impress and make sure to bring your resume to both interviews. If you're trying to be promoted from within the company try to know some of your stores KPI's also plan ahead for situational questions about customer service and working with other team memebers. Last thing to do, just make it seem like you love working at Walgreens and want to make a long term career out of it and you'll be a lock.
