I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Liverpool, NY) in Jun 2016
Interview
I applied online and the process took less than 2 months and no offer. Went through a phone interview and in person interview. The lady on the phone was rude and talked really fast and didn't seem like she had a care in the world. Find another job if you don't like being a HR. I passed it and had an in store interview the following week. There were 2 men and they were bland. I was very confident and the two men were bland. I know Wegmans want people who have a good personality and confidence but these two men were not enthusiastic as I was. All they did was ask questions like they were bored and only lifted their heads when asking a question. I know they had to write a lot but seriously? Sat on a bench for 20 minutes before and then another 45 minutes for the interview. My friend and I applied for the same position and she got it and I didn't. We both had the same qualifications and attitude and were perfect for the job. I'm glad that she got it and I didn't. I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble but Wegmans is not as great as it seems. You can buy the same products at other stores for a better price and my friend has only worked there for 2 months so far and hates it because of how annoying a customer can be and how busy it gets - especially when a customer has $800 worth of groceries. Trust me, it's true. There are so many opportunities out there and focusing on getting a job at Wegmans will blind you from that. I did a good thing when I stopped applying. Why waste your time getting a job at that place that takes about a month or two than getting a job that only takes about a week or two? It's not worth it to put a lot of time or effort for something that might not even be worth it.

Interview
I sent in an application online and was contacted by HR the very next day to schedule a phone interview for later that week. The questions were pretty generic, the only thing that tripped me up was the interviewer asking the same question twice in a row. I got called for an in person interview a few days later. This time, they asked a lot of situational questions and this time was more awkward because they wrote all my answers down by hand instead of a computer. This can create really awkward silences! They called me the next day to offer me the position at 9.50/hour.

Interview
It was really long and tedious. I had my phone interview today. If they like me, they will have me come in for an in person interview. The recruiter asked for my work history in order one by one, and then asked what I liked/disliked about each one. Very lengthy.
