I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Fairfax, VA) in Aug 2016
Interview
I applied online (July 16) and heard back via email on July 25 about scheduling a phone interview. I had the phone interview on July 27. It was about 20 minutes long and most of the questions were about past experience and availability but it shifted into questions about what you would do in certain situations on the job or examples of a time when .... happened. My advice is to stay calm and take a minute to think of a good answer instead of making something up and rambling on. They called the next day to schedule an in person interview. The in person interview was with two people (HR representative and front-end manager) and I thought it was very relaxed and enjoyable. There were some questions similar to the phone interview. Most of the questions were related to my experience in high school (since I'm still a student). I was offered the position the next day.

Took about 1 month, received a phone call to schedule a phone interview, next I was called a couple of days later for a face to face interview, which was fairly casual, I was then given a job offer.

Question 1
What do you have to offer to the store that other candidates might not?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wegmans Food Markets (Buffalo, NY) in Jun 2016
Interview
Applied online and had a telephone/screening interview. Then received another call for an in-person interview with two management employees. This interview lasted about 45 minutes with them asking questions from a prepared sheet and handwriting the questions. They seemed interested in the Wegmans "image" as opposed to a hard, reliable worker. Al lot of young staff standing around and talking. Think twice before applying here--their "best place to work" image does not match their reality.
