I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Irvine, CA) in Jun 2021
Interview
I applied via Aerotek recruiting company which resulted in two interview processes.
The first one was a personal interview with Aerotek that explored my experience, education, and as well as my personality. I was a second year student at Irvine looking for an internship opportunity and had experience with C, C++, python and linux coding. To add I also had many extracurriculars like participating in the engineering student council boxing club and archery club.
Once I finished and got a call back, I was called in with a manager of the Execution team within Wells Fargo for another interview. This team specialized in data analytics, of course, so I was asked many questions on if I was familiar with SQL and Excel. It was also important to note that I was also given a hand written test on the SQL language - about a 4 page test with both multiple choice and free response questions. I honestly forgot how long the test was but I think it was about 30 minutes. Forgive me, I don't remember the specific questions they asked but from what I remember, the test covered VERY rudimentary SQL code. I ended up getting a really good score and got only 1 wrong. To add, I did not study SQL in my college and I only studied through w3schools.com so doing well on the exam was not that difficult if you studied the basics before hand. After the test, I was asked a few more questions about how I did well with teams - communication wise, if a problem surfaced, how would I solve it, if a team member did something wrong, how would I go about it and whatnot.
Very general interview questions overall so key points are that there is a test and questions if you know your code well. Good luck out there!

Question 1
Have you ever had a situation where you were in a team environment trying to accomplish a goal and one of your team members was having trouble with their task? If yes how did you or your team resolve the issue?
It was average interview, mostly focused on power bi and sql. I had ML background but still was able to answer all. Also he asked some brain teasers at the end of the interview.
