I fell in love with this company after reading just about every article about it. Decided to finally apply after some time studying for the assessments.
I applied online. Was sent an online hacker rank test.
Had an HR interview and then 3 tech interviews through hangouts meets and hackerrank.
I loved their process, I thought the test were really cool.
Then I had a on-site interview with the team. I had to do a little project. Got along really well with the team and generally I did well.
I have no complaints about the interview process.
However, they'll say that they want people with computer science basics, no joke you can just look at the posts they have on LinkedIn. And then they called me up and told me that they want someone with web development experience, as in know node.js if you want to apply.
They offered a 3-6 month trainee program which I could not accept due to the lower salary and cannot go into debt. But I asked them to send me information on what they wanted me to learn so I could apply later on.
At this point I was still really interested. Of course they said yes and sounded enthusiastic still.
Never got an email back.
Really disappointed.
tl;dr
Learn web development frameworks before applying as it is a requirement and not just a plus.
