I applied online and was contacted by phone for an HR interview. At the end of the call she said she would send me some verbal and analytical tests by email. I took them and passed (highly recommend you search for this type of test online and go through practices).
I was invited to interview at their offices in downtown Houston on a Saturday. They sat me down in a board room and gave me a prompt for a presentation. I was given 30 minutes to create a powerpoint presentation addressing the prompt. Then about 8 people arrived and I delivered a 10 minute presentation to them. After the presentation I was given a short writing exercise and then two separate interviews, one technical and one behavioral.
The interview and presentation went extremely well, and they consistently complimented my intelligence and ability to communicate. After the interview I was certain I got the job. Early the following week, HR called me and said "the good news is that you're extremely brilliant, however, there was a lot of competition for the position".
