- Informational call with recruiter - Technical phone screen with hiring manager The recruiter was very nice. She told me the name of the person who would be calling me to interview me. When the day of the interview came, 5 minutes before the scheduled time, the recruiter emailed me that a different person would be interviewing me than originally planned. When the interviewer called, the phone connection was very bad. It sounded like he was talking through a tin can. I could hear myself talking via a weird echo effect. The interviewer acted like the whole thing was an inconvenience to him, like he had better things to be doing. Maybe I misread him due to the bad connection, I dunno. I just definitely got the feeling he didn't like me. The questions he asked were easy, but he didn't like my answers. I think he had a very specific thing he wanted me to say. In the end, he said he had other people to interview and they would get back to me. An email a week later said I was rejected.
