Interview
I submitted an application online & was contacted by a recruiter within a week. The initial call was with the recruiter - she explained the position, asked me a couple of questions about my experience, and then scheduled an interview with the hiring manager. Spoke with the hiring manager a few days later and then was emailed by the recruiter that they were pursuing another candidate.

Interview
The recruiter was super nice, professional, and insightful during and after initial phone screening.
The interview with the hiring manager was lackluster at best. The hiring manager spent more time bragging about herself than asking anything about me so there was no real chance of making a connection. I was also surprised at lack of video and was thrown off by the loud sound of her typing during my response but I did my best to block it out.
I would also call into question Zillow's actual commitment to diversity and inclusion given the lack of video during interview. How is the hiring manager supposed to know they have a potential diverse candidate without video and/or asking the candidate about themselves? In my opinion this is a single point of failure for elevating diversity.

1. Initial 20 min phone screen with recruiter,
2. 1 hour phone interview / with hiring manager
3. Onsite interview round with other product Ms, engineering counterpart, management - standard stuff.
