The interviews were more about trying to understand what I was after in a role and my motivations rather than the traditional STAR interview questions. STAR questions after a certain level of experience are not useful as your CV should really tell what you can do in my opinion! A lot of information was shared about what sort of things were needed to be achieved in the role.

Technical Questions: 1. Describe any one Financial Product as you would do to a 10-year old. 2. Which is the most important financial statement for a company and why? 3. What does a Balance Sheet convey? 4. Accounting entry for Insurance. 5. Explain Straddles, Strangles and Swaptions. 6. Where does trade payable go in a balance sheet?

Only thing that caught me out was a live exercise in the second round, which I hadn't expected - but, I think that's partly the reason they do it! Interesting selection of questions in the final round - ranging from brain teasers to personality fit type questions.
