Every question that I faced was expected or at least none of the questions took me by surprise,but,the most difficult question to answer was "You did your under graduation (graduation in India) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and now you have applied for a software job, how do you justify this?? Don't you think all that you learnt in the 4 years of engineering will have gone waste if you take up this job?? Don't you also think that it's injustice to your mother department? Lol, it's 3 questions rolled into one. The interviewer was apparently from core Electrical and Electronics Engineering (by his own admission at a later point in the interview.)

An application's outline was given and I was asked to start from the flow chart till the code. The coding language was open to me where I can use any of the languages. I was tested on how smart I am in thinking in structuring the algorithm and which language would be best suited for the application more than how perfectly I follow with the in syntax.

It was an HR question at the end of my first (technical round). They asked me to name 3 weaknesses. The question was unexpected in a technical round, mostly since like everyone else I had one weakness prepared in my mind.
