What are your views on commission pay?
The first case interview question asked how a corporation controlling 5 different businesses could consolidate the businesses. It was very important to ask questions to understand the components/departments of each business in order to reduce redundancies between businesses. It required asking a lot of questions to get more information about the businesses to make a decision. The second interview question was about a company that was going to be sold within 18 months, and it's goal was to increase its value before being sold by reducing the cost of technical support. The interviewer asked how this company should do this, and what the implications those decisions would be. Again, it took a lot of questions in order to fully understand the situation, then analyze and propose a recommendation.
Describe a time you had to communicate across several levels of your organization
No really surprising questions..just the common questions like: Why oracle? What qualities should a good salesman possess? Why do you want to leave your current job?
Do you have any questions for us? (knock on the door) Oh wait, nevermind, there's someone coming in to use this conference room. It was nice meeting you.
Basic questions about past employment, knowledge of solutions, experience in geographies. A presentation about first 90 days. Some questions about hypothetical scenarios and role playing.
"Let's say I hire you today. It's your job to generate new business over the following two weeks. I'm not giving you any further instruction. You can use your computer and phone. How would you proceed?"
Nothing hard in any of the interviews. Walk through resume, why you want Oracle, BDC, etc.
