Mean Girl Interviewer1: Since you should know our entire product background inside and out based on your research about us, what schools should we target for recruiting? Me: Answer Mean Girl Interviewer: No, you can't use those. They're a given. Me: Additional answer with multiple schools, one with a very prominent/prestigious CS program in Canada Mean Girl Interviewer 1: Really - I've never heard of that school Me: Well we hired x # of great candidates from this program in my previous role, and this program has a fantastic reputation Mean Girl Interviewer 2: Yeah x school does have x program (apparently validating my answer enough, although she's never been an actual campus recruiter) Mean Girl Interviewer 1: OK whatever moving on
