Since I was shifting my career focus and past experience, the press was for why do you want to move into this position. I asked questions to sort of reveal some culture. The hiring manager was, perhaps lacking management and leadership experience. It was quite evident when he consistently reinforced his access to the CEO. While it's understood that things come up with those that may be interviewing candidates (I was supposed to interview with 2-3 people) on the day of the actual interview, be sure to prep those that are doing so to not be stressed during the interview. Regardless of a psychological strategy, you should not make your candidates feel like they are a burden.

The interview process continues with a candidate presentation. We ask that you prepare a plan of attack (this can be done via a presentation, doc, etc) that addresses the following: Imagine you are on the Freckle Account Management team, and are working with 500 West Coast customers (both large and small accounts). Of those, 100 have 20% license usage or below. These accounts are up for renewal in the next 6-9 months. What steps do you take to rectify the situation, ultimately ending with a 90% renewal rate or higher? Questions to consider (but not limited to): ​What overall strategy would you take? How do you prioritize your time? How do you measure success incrementally over the course of the 6-9 months?
