The follow-up questions. Each question I answered was rephrased and asked again. For example, "Give me an example of how you might have positively dealt with a staff shortage issue in the past?" I answered with an example and concluded "so the decision I made positively affected the staffing shortage, remained under budget and improved customer satisfaction." Follow-up question... "So you positively affected the staffing issues and improved your customer satisfaction while remaining under budget?" That's what I just said. As if it was to be believed. This was the entire interview.

One really tough question (that I wish I had a do-over on) was this: Tell me about a time that you really messed something up or made a significant mistake, and tell me what you did to recover from it.
The interviews were mostly conversational. One leader who interviewed me was even in the car when we spoke.
