Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your strengths & weaknesses? (I really thought I was going to get some more "unique" or "out-of-the-box" questions for a HR related opening.) What most excites you about working for CenturyLink? How many people have you managed in previous roles? What was an event/incident that frustrated you in your previous/current role and how did you handle resolve the issue?
There wasn't a business case run. However, I would describe the interviewing process as both behavioral and functional competency based. Nothing terribly difficult for a seasoned HR professional.

Tell me what you learned from a negative experience.
I was surprised that (after being told by recruiting it would not be this way) every single person basically asked me the exact same 2-3 questions, which were: "tell me about a time when you used data to support a decision", "Tell me about a time when you took an unpopular stance", and "tell me about a time when something you did made a big impact on the company".
