Since this company is primarily an Oracle based shop the hiring manager asked me about my Oracle and PL/SQL skills. The hiring manager also mentioned that workload in broken into three distinct groups: stored procedures/back end development (30%), web development (30%) and reporting (40% using Excel/VBA and Crystal Reports). There is also some SQL Server database work.

I can't remember the exact questions, but here is a typical example. Can you give me an example of when you had to deep dive into an unknown issue within your system, diagnose, fix and document the problem. Tell me the exact problem in a detailed technical level, the steps that you followed, how you resolved it and the administrative steps taken to data log for preventative work in the future.
If you don't know something, would you ask a question to colleague or any another?
