There were people management questions and behavior questions.
They wanted to check about the entrepreneurial aspect of the candidate. Since the role was considered to be independent, they were checking the self-drive and most importantly about handling tough/complicated situations.
What kind of product you worked on? How big was a team? How the process look like?
Was asked to explore their tool and give comments about features. Questions were aligned towards the expectation for the role.
General questions about work history and experience.
No technical questions. What is a characteristic manager? What are the characteristic of a bad manager? Who was you best manager? Who was you work manager? Tell me about a time you failed. A lot more of this weirdness.... which IMHO gives no indication of how I can manage an engineering team.
