I am happy I didn't join such team where people expect you to remember rather than real debug skills or knowledge.

Interviewer asked me interoperability test procedure. I did this all 4-5 years back in my previous company and don't use it currently. However, I explained the test flow and reasoning behind it - then repeat the flow for all power saving states. She wanted to know all the small details in every step some of which I couldn't remember because its been a long time I did it. I told her there is Spec on USBIF website and we follow step by step procedure. I can refresh my knowledge but she was not convinced. She expected to remember all the details. I got reject. I am happy I didn't join such team where people expect you to remember rather than real debug skills or knowledge.
