First round interview was 15min with two staff asking general questions like why do you want to join startx? What can you bring to the team? What's your plan after graduation? How much time can you commit? etc. No difficult questions. I went through pretty smoothly. After you passed the first round, they will ask you to finish a 5-hour challenge online. The challenge asked you to write a 2 page max recommendation to improve their internal communication efficiency through group mail. After you passed the challenge, you went into the second round with three staff, which is a follow-up upon more behavior-based questions with the head of the program. A lot of the behavior questions are unexpected, like what are the times when you care more about what you learned in the process and that you care more about the final results? wha exactly do you want to learn out of this volunteer experience? A lot of engineers think business skills is easy to learn, as long as you know technical, like how to solve differential equations. What do you think? what word will your friends describe you? What do your friends like you most? After 2 years you look back to your experience at Startx and you feel it was total worth it, what would make you feel that way? During the process, I feel interviewer (head of the program) was a bit unrespectful, because he was sneering after I finished answering almost every question. After a week, I was told that I did not pass the second round.
