Global leadership of the R&D division is a joke. They’re scattered, don’t communicate well, and try to micromanage from different continents. Salary is dependent on department, and although best in area, still below market value. Upkeep and maintenance is a joke. The team does the best they can with minimal resources allocated to them. Safety culture mistakes conversation and action for effectiveness. Very reactive instead of proactive. Blanket dictates for safety rules that ignore specific situations where the new safety equipment could actually be a hazard. This has been repeated multiple times in the past few years. Business units dictate direction of research and product development instead of letting R&D drive innovation to position ADM on the cutting edge, instead we just try to do things cheaper than competitors who developed products.

I work 6 days a week. Never get holidays off. I never get help with my job because we are permanently understaffed. Career advancement doesn't exist here. Never get any bonuses even though the company reports record profits every year.
