      I took this job with the lowest of expectations, yet I am still disappointed.

      Pros

      Large reservoir of knowledge, experience and skill to draw upon, if you can beat down the path to these peoople.

      Cons

      The company makes their money through corporate aquisition and massive contracts. Too large and too many people to provide consistent high quality; it's a Wal-Mart. AECOM is poorly structured, it does not feel like "one" company despite the cheerleading. Employees are truely replaceable units and they are squeezed until nothing is left; we are all numbers. It is a big, sloppy, inefficient conglomerate.

      Great people, though hard to advance

      Pros

      The company has great people working for it and excellent high profile projects to be a part of, as well as flexibility with where you want to work.

      Cons

      It is very difficult to advance if you are not an architect or an engineer of some sort, and the company has an old economy perspective, wanting to be flatter, but still very hierarchical.
