Pros

The compensation is very good. The benefits are fantastic (health, dental, and vision). The employees are very good people to work with.

Cons

Working at a satellite office can be frustrating. Important decisions are usually made at the regional headquarters level without any input from the people that will be affected most.

Pros

Big project opportunities, rapid company growth, and experienced management teams. This company has grown exponentially due to a very aggressive business model.

Cons

Poor communication from senior management to employees at the staff level and constant corporate change to remain fluid in changing market conditions that creates instability and large staff turnover.

Pros

Great staff with lots of diverse experience. Opportunities to link into projects around the world if you are good at networking and persistent. Could be an amazing company in which to work if management could embrace a more collaborative management system and dispense with some of the tedious bureaucracy.

Cons

Senior managers are engineers with little or no management training. Important management decisions are made haphazardly and poorly communicated. Egos are allowed to dominate important corporate decisions. Many senior managers are afraid to make important decisions and therefore do not make those decisions in a timely manner. Far too much bureaucracy - getting approval to attend a conference or get a plane ticket to visit a client can be a nightmare, resulting in many missed opportunities for the corporation. Good people are getting frustrated with the bureaucracy and poor management and leaving.
