Pros

Great teams, great company, great strategy

Cons

It takes 5 years to become fully vested in a 401K that has a average match. Corporate only gets 4-6 paid holidays each year when other companies are offering 10/12, so take that into account when you get X weeks of vacation.

Pros

Really good pay in comparison to other grocery stores.

Cons

Management mishandles schedules, routinely understaffs shifts, and expects employees to do close to inhuman tasks, such as for cashiers to hit 45 items per minute as a goal while also being accurate, to break down 3 pallets an hour as a goal, among others. In a recent meeting, we were given the reason why we haven't received more staff, and the long and short of it is, we aren't efficient enough with the number of people we have on a given shift (we should have more,) therefore we aren't allowed to get more people, shouldn't it be the exact opposite? If you can deal with the anxiety of always worrying if you're going fast enough and constantly having to juggle a million things at once, then this is the job for you, and if it is, God bless you.

Pros

The pay compared to similar jobs was better, and the work is intense which means you learn a lot fast, with many challenging situations daily to learn from

Cons

Feel underpaid from what you actually do day in day out. The job description of the lowest level of management is almost identical to that of THE store manager, yet the pay difference is phenomenal. The shifts are also very long and gruelling and overtime is every day. There were no thank you's or appreciative comments however; only if you make the slightest mistake will there. be feedback. Also.. 12 hour shift? 8 hour shift? 14 hour shift? You get 30 minutes regardless. Even more stressful when you're the duty manager and the manager bell is going off every few minutes and you have to reheat your food again and again and again. Many many more things to say far worse, but this alone is enough
