A man with twenty five years of experience had to take a back seat to kids who weren't even born before that work experience started. HR and management will lie directly to your face. HR promised certifications within two weeks and a pay raise. Management promised the same. In reality it took two months to even begin the process and still didn't complete any certifications. "We're gonna do 'this." Never happened. "I'm gonna move you 'here." Never happened. Just enough of a lie to dangle the carrot and try to keep you on board, no explanation as to why those promises never happen. Too many guys entrenched. Union shop and the only thing that people care about is seniority, not skill. Whine about how long you've been there and been strung along and management will finally make an attempt to appease you. Being a union shop seniority and not skill or experience is rewarded. Guys who have been there for ages and are completely inept are still given the chosen jobs and the better pay rate.
