Harassment and Abuse

Pros

There were pros while Power and Corporate were still in the group, but after the sale to GE all good left this company.

Cons

Employees are being abused and harassed with the knowledge and assistance of the top management and especially the HR. The unions are also in the game and are being paid to shut their mouth. The pig from the biggest ever scoop on Balance Ton Porc left the company with a HUGE check, Alstom not only kept him warm during all these years but at the end rewarded him for the good job done: in harassing morally and sexually employees. This company will soon die due to its culture, or rather the lack of it. And please Glassdoor, change the CEO, it’s no longer Kron since the sale to GE.

Pros

With the new contract coming in it will be stable work for a while

Cons

Three ways to get ahead: be a former employee who worked there before the big lay off; whine; or brown nose. A man with twenty five years of experience had to take a back seat to kids who weren't even born before that work experience started. HR and management will lie directly to your face. HR promised certifications within two weeks and a pay raise. Management promised the same. In reality it took two months to even begin the process and still didn't complete any certifications. "We're gonna do 'this." Never happened. "I'm gonna move you 'here." Never happened. Just enough of a lie to dangle the carrot and try to keep you on board, no explanation as to why those promises never happen. Too many guys entrenched. Union shop and the only thing that people care about is seniority, not skill. Whine about how long you've been there and been strung along and management will finally make an attempt to appease you. Being a union shop seniority and not skill or experience is rewarded. Guys who have been there for ages and are completely inept are still given the chosen jobs and the better pay rate.
