It generally does offer a competitive pay for the field and gives you valuable sales skills that you can transfer to another role.
Cons
There's not much upward ladder from this position many of my colleagues and peers who have done well and want to promote within the company are often held where they are instead of being assisted to move up. If you have good Network and no people who were in the positions above you you may be able to move up but without a very strong Network you have easier time leaving and returning to this company
