Pros

The company has good benefits and fair pay, also they give you lots of paid time off. I haven't even worked there a year and I have over 100 hours of paid time off to use. The company provides lots of training and it is a constantly evolving field so the job usually stays interesting.

Cons

The changes in commission structure come often and unexpected, going from a $4,000 commission check to a $500 commission check due to changes in the structure is a little worrying. From month to month standards and goals change without notice.

Pros

Benefits package continue to be good - few places still give you a pension package. Still provide tuition reimbursement although package has been severely trimmed down. Can work from home - depending on your supervisor of course! Good opportunity to travel although budgets have been cut recently.

Cons

Not a place to work at if you want upward mobility. If you have no ambition, then you could stay here 35 or 40 years and survive. But if you like innovation, a fast-paced environment that is conducive to your career path, look elsewhere. You only get recognized for towing the line, not for out-of-the-box thinking.

Pros

AT&T management likes to make make sure that you are satified with the projects you are working on and that the company's mission plan fits in with your personal career goals and ambitions. I have received a lot of training during my career with AT&T and realized how far I have come since I started working here. The freedom to create work on good projects as a Software Engineer is correlated with the amibitions and energy you put into it. I have been proud to be a part of a large team that puts out projects we could not have done without the training and suppport management has given.
