Pros

Discounted land line service, cell phone service, and if you're lucky U-verse service. The giant AT&T is a very stable place to work, no worries of the company going belly up anytime soon.

Cons

Long hours in IT, low pay against the rest of the industry. Health care programs are average to poor. Innovative new ideas are kept in check by the massive nature of the company, therefor it's not able to jump on the new developments in a timely manner. Career advancement and progressions are difficult to get excited over due to the huge number of employees, they can't give large bonuses or raises annually.

Pros

Overall excellent direction as a corporation, which will only get better with further consolidation of business uits. We have a weell defined work space, which is the market leader in several facets.

Cons

There is a ton of red tape that has to be cut to accomplish internal missions. Once that is rectified life will be simpler. Once that is rectified the environment should improve.

Pros

The AT&T name and position as market leader gives you unparalleled access to customers. This removes one of the largest roadblocks in sales…getting in front of the customer. I truly believe the products and services AT&T offers are the best in the industry.

Cons

The constant change at AT&T has resulted in a lot of internal confusion between departments. The increased pressure to cut costs and grow revenue results in less support and higher expectations every year. Sooner or later something has to give. There is only so much productivity you can squeeze out of people before you are going to see diminishing returns.
