Pros

People you work with are generally pretty understanding and willing to work with you when it comes to support.

Cons

I worked for DirecTV before, during, and after the acquisition. Many of the things that made the job worth getting up in the morning for were done away with. an entire team, the Recognition Team (wonderful group of people, did a lot to setup events and make things fun) was eliminated because it wasn't "cost effective". Company events went away, Early releases on holidays (its a fire-able offense now to even mention it now), the list goes on and on. The final straw for me to start looking elsewhere was when I was told if I "proved" myself i would be given a promotion. After 18 months of traveling, volunteering for projects, and busting my behind for this company, i was given my dream job..... for 2 weeks. I was informed that the entire department was outsourced to IBM and that i was busted back down to my former position. things like this are very common at AT&T, they will work you damn near to death and then make it seem you are ungrateful when you become frustrated.

Pros

AT&T is one of the most diverse and accepting companies I have ever worked for. Also, because of the size of the company, it yields many opportunities to learn new things and allows employees the opportunity to work in different positions within the company.

Cons

While it's needed for some jobs, limiting virtual type positions to hub cities prevents talented people from taking them because they can not move their family.

Pros

Good benies!! Free cable van tools gas card. 50% phone bill! Health care is awesome! Customers are fun! Excited about products!!!

Cons

AT&T is a pretty horrible company! Union not any better since came in they taking 5% from top what we already make. Super strict no leeway. Making 30,000$ less since they bought Dtv. If your new to company you don't know any better.
