Pros

Very flexible WFH if you're a diligent employee and discuss it with your manager. I can't speak to any other departments. Somehow they keep winning "Great place to work," so I can only assume other parts of the company are better.

Cons

Horrific culture. Jersey City office is half empty and no one smiles or says hello. Walking through the halls, I often had the experience of smiling and saying Hello and receiving only an odd look or averted eyes. Marketing is a sinking ship, the CMO was fired a year ago, the department was re-ogranized and broken up to report to the COO. She quit, and they named a new CMO the end of last year. Re-orged marketing twice in my short time there, but never changed out the talent. You can't just move around the puzzle pieces when things are so broken. Find the dead weight (there's lots of it) and/or the individuals who do not know who to be a part of a team (many fit the bill) and fire them. Bring in people who will actually get the job done - whether it's promoting top talent from within or searching from the outside. Marketing, as a function, isn't appreciated at all by top management, so the budget keeps getting smaller and they wonder why they don't get anything good out of them. Too many consultants -- every time you turn around there's another project that's being co-led by an outside consulting agency. They place NO trust in their own full time employees to get things done... then why are we here?

Pros

Good pay, lots of opportunities to progress and go abroad once off of the graduate scheme Good exposure to senior management Market leader in many international markets

Cons

Relocating last minute with a months notice can be difficult but this is only for the two years on the scheme and only three times.

Pros

AXA had good benefits when I worked there. In fact, that's pretty much the only reason I stayed. I loved the holidays off and the vacation time. The medical benefits were pretty good also.

Cons

AXA is an okay place to work if you're just looking for employment but not if you're looking for advancement. The company trains and promotes only those employees whom they like. AXA is BIG on favoritism. As long as you kiss up to the managers you'll get what you want; but don't expect hard work, integrity and character to benefit you in any way, shape or form. I deeply regret having wasted so many years with the company. I was overworked and underpaid the entire time I was employed, but I stayed a/c the benefits and in hopes things would improve...which they never did. Even though I always reported to work on time, put in overtime when asked with minimal complaining, did my job well with no salary increase worth mentioning, I was set up by my manager and team leader so that I could be terminated because of my age....I'm approaching retirement. They couldn't find any fault in my performance so they had to fabricate something.
