Pros

Good health insurance plan, flexible hours, bonus paid in March each year.

Cons

Salary level very poor compared to similar roles in other companies. If you get another role it is usually a secondment and no raise given so it's a cheeky way management acquire cheap labor internally.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for highlighting some of the great benefits AXA have to offer. It isn’t so great to read that your experience at AXA wasn’t as positive as we would hope, particularly regarding salary and internal opportunities. Career progression is really important to us and secondments are used as a way for employees to have exposure to other business areas with the flexibility to move back into their permanent role. Some secondments open the door to new career opportunities whilst some offer a great learning experience. We are proud to offer a range of rewards and benefits, and with regards to salary we carefully consider our pay levels and carry out a review each year.

Pros

I joined AXA 2 years ago initially as a contractor and it felt like "home " the minute I walked in the door. The people are friendly the work is enjoyable and the targets and expectations are realistic. It is a big company but the feeling of pulling together and intimacy and approachability of senior staff makes it a great place to work. In addition the Bristol office is a fantastic environment with a brilliant culture.

Cons

None really, other than within certain parts of the organisation I certain reticence to use technology to its full potential I've never seen so many people using writing pads, and the expectation to travel to face to face meetings was unexpected. This is changing now
