Pros

You won't be homeless or broke. There are a lot of people within the larger company that are very easy to help & build a good relationship with.

Cons

Aggressively silo'd responsibilities. Retail like job responsibilities/treatment. Having to serve multiple "masters", many with top priority. Inconsistent policy enforcement. Lack of communication with policy changes in advance/submit feedback on issues with policy changes. Tons of internal documentation, but it's next to impossible to search for & find the specific thing you're looking for. Annual reviews are a joke. You get feedback from the people you help, but it isn't taken into consideration when actually placing you in their 9 box grid to determine if you get a raise/bonus/promotion or not.
