      Limited Promotion prosepcts in EMEA

      Pros

      Strong and capable senior management. A global firm where one can move around and change roles. Culture in UK of not making redundancies beneath the Senior Executive level

      Cons

      Very limited promotion opportunities. Only 18 people made senior exec in BPO India this year; an area expecting 20% growth next year. UK Leadership will say one thing to your face because their bonus is dependant on you being engaged but another thing behind closed doors when it comes to peer laddering sessions.

      Pros

      Accenture Outsourcing is a good opportunity to work with a lot of leading edge technologies. Small to large projects are worked on a regular basis. You are able to see many different technologies in one place.

      Cons

      Pay is very low compared to other companies doing similar buisness in the area. Raises are either non-existent or in the very low percentage range (1%) when they are given. Employees have no negotiation power once they are employed. Expectation from management is to work minimum 20% overtime each week and up to 100% when needed, which is about once a month. Lots of weekend and night time hours. Lots of phone calls interrupting dinner and family outings.

      Great place for young professionals

      Pros

      it's a very fast paced work enviornment. They put new analysts through a LOT of training which is nice and gives you a good network going into your first role. You will travel quite a bit so it's a great opportunity to see new cities while you are still young and without a family yet.

      Cons

      Again, since you travel quite often I would say a con is that you probably wouldn't be as willing to have this lifestyle once you are married and with kids.
