Pros

Benefits like Tax saver, Cycle to work scheme, Different Health Insurance Options, Pension. Good colleagues.

Cons

Allianz Care will soon become the expert in the art of creating unhappy employees who feel under appreciated . I never worked at a place with as many unsatisfied and frustrated people, which explains the unprecedented turnover rate. Good employees just run out of there now without even finding new jobs due to increasing stress and as we call it, feeling like just a 'NUMBER'. Middle management makes it increasingly difficult to do your job due to office politics and bureaucracies. There is zero understanding from higher management which pushes for micro-management and exploitation of employees as much as possible with little to no return/incentives. Career advancement is not really an option if you speak up your mind and won't knuckle under - your hard work and dedication mean nothing in that regard. Lack of transparency is phenomenal. HR doesn't really tackle the serious issues and will NEVER get your back. Joining the 'Union' seems to be the only way employees can fight for their rights now in an environment that is very dodgy and unfair. While we were discouraged from writing glassdoor reviews during our last Town hall meeting, HR still continues to ignore serious issues raised internally.

Pros

Stable job (compared to outsourcing companies where you mostly have 3-6 months contract). Permanent contract (after 6 months of probation) Health insurance (which is rare in Ireland) Other benefits are in my opinion complete nonsense (The Social Club is meeting once per month or even less. You have DIVA – an LGBT project of the company. However, people are still not openly showing that they are part of the LGBT community as they are afraid that they will be stigmatized in Allianz Care). Sorry, but what is the point of having a Social Club if they are meeting only once in a while?

Cons

Most positive reviews contain, in my opinion, statements that are offensive e.g. “we know who you are”, or “if you don’t like it why are you still here”. A recent positive review stated “my expectation is that I turn up, do a good job, get paid and go home”. What kind of message are you giving to potential candidates/ new hires? From this statement you can clearly see that the company doesn’t invest in creating a sociable environment for their employees. If you are ok with that, it’s fine. But why is Talent Acquisition and Management pretending that the company is something which it clearly isn’t. I believe that many employees got offended because they were told different things during the interview which were later simply ignored. During my interview I was told that I will get additional 1,000 EUR annual for a 2nd language if I use it for work. I speak 3 languages and I used my language skills to translate documents, to contact providers or to translate Emails that someone was supposed to send. I asked for the language bonus twice and I was told that the company cannot provide me with the additional 1,000 EUR annual as I don’t use all languages every day, but only frequently. During my interview I have been told different. I was also told that after 1.5 years I can get promoted or move to another department. After 1.5 years as I wanted to apply for Policy Management I was told by my Team Lead that “I am only 1.5 years in the company and that I need to stay longer to be able to move to another department”. Again, they didn’t keep what they told me during the interview. In case you are asking yourself why I am still in the company… well, my priorities have changed. As I started working I wanted a career. However, I became pregnant and gave birth to a child. It sounds very sad but for now I am fine with having a job were I don’t have any interactions with my Team members and were my only “goal” is to get paid. This doesn’t mean that I will stay here forever – just till my child starts going to school. I don’t have any contact with my former colleagues who left the company, and my interaction with my current ones is only professional. It makes me angry and sad when I see young people starting here, getting disappointed (because they have been lied during the interview) and leaving the company. About the negative reviews here… did HR ever asked themselves why people are not going to them but instead are leaving negative reviews? Maybe it’s not the fault of the employees. Maybe it’s your approach… Just an example: as we had the Hurricane Ophelia most companies wrote their employees nice Emails stating “Stay at home. We hope that you and your families will all be save.” I was working the day as we had the hurricane. That day, around 9 or 10am we received an Email from our manager stating: ”If you don’t feel save, you are ALLOWED to go home”. Seriously??? Do you even have any social skills? Worst of all is that most of us didn’t even know what to do. We were not sure if we will need to rework that day and if we will get paid for the few hours we were working during the hurricane… and you call this a nice environment? PS: The positive reviews are written with excellent English. I don’t know any foreigner who speaks English that well! They are obviously written by our Irish colleagues.
