      Pros

      As an entry level associate it seemed like the perfect place. In house showers, cafeteria, and gym. Co-workers were fantastic

      Cons

      The honeymoon stage ends abruptly. They expect you to live, breathe, and die for this company with absolutely no work/life balance whatsoever. The managers at every level are cutthroat who would just as soon step on you as look at you and provide little to no or inconsistent assistance when questions are asked. All management cares for, when it should be the people, are the client and covering themselves. The president is not much better. In fact since he has been in place the company has continued to be poisoned by this insufferable pestilence. Moreover Human Resources, who is supposed to be the aide to associates, is powerless to be of any assistance to anyone who wants it.

      Pros

      It's a fast growing business, which partners will lots of great names in the travel and other industries (e.g. Kayak, Delta, American, United and other major airlines). I get to work with smart and knowledgeable colleagues who care about the business and customers. Mike Nelson, CEO of the company, is a great leader who managed to turn the business around and make it the market leader in the travel insurance industry. The company offers a lot of international career opportunities since it is part of a larger, global company Allianz SE. There are a plenty of training and growth opportunities.

      Cons

      It's a highly regulated industry. A lot of effort is spent on making sure everything we do is compliant with thousands of state-specific rules and regulations. However, the company is well positioned to succeed and thrive in this tough environment. The leadership instills the culture of caring and doing what's right by the customer, which in turns meets or exceeds what the regulators what it to do. The same cannot be said about the company's competitors.
